This simple mechanism represents my fascination for machines and mechanisms, for example in analog cameras or old-fashioned arcade automats. I like how simple but at the same time complex they are as one piece moves the other like a chain reaction in which endless complexity can be added. But it only works if all the pieces fit together perfectly, which as I learned in this simple project, is harder than you would expect.
